Good evening,

We have some UP employees that have an outstanding “to-do”. There are about 44 employees that need to go into the Metra Cadient site and complete the “Additional Information” link. They would have emails with the information to go in and complete it.

I attached a spreadsheet with the outstanding names and applicable rosters (in case that’s helpful). We’ve asked local management to reach out to the employees to remind them – but I was hoping you guys could help remind people to go in and complete this step.

Below is a copy of the email that went to employees last week to remind them to complete the link:

As progress continues for the UP-Metra T&E transition, UP employees will begin to receive notifications from Metra’s hiring site, Cadient. These notifications will be to complete certain aspects of the employee application. Due to the system requirements of our hiring site, that HR cannot bypass, this information must be completed by the employee.

(You may have already received and completed the information currently required of you at this time; however, we are sending this email to employees who received these links, so you have a better understanding.)

Please be aware that completing this information:

Does not mean that you are accepting the final job offer at Metra.

a. Employees who bid, are assigned jobs, attend Metra NHO, and complete all aspects of the Cadient hiring application will receive a final offer letter closer to their start date.

Does not mean you will be given a background check – although you must select ‘yes’ because of our hiring system requirements, UP transfers will not have a background check completed.

Here are the items that UP employees will begin to receive from Cadient.:

Additional Information Link - We ask that you complete this link by January 9th to keep on track for the transition timeline should you bid and be assigned a position. Employees may receive this email link at different times depending on transfer timelines.

Please note, this link references a “Conditional Offer Acceptance”. Your conditional offer was part of your “LMS” consent to release information to Metra and is further defined in your implementation agreement.

Completing this “Additional Information” link does not mean you accept to ‘transfer’ to Metra but does need to be completed if you are still interested in ‘transferring’.

The Additional Information link asks you for the following information:

- Full Name

- Birthdate

- Electronic Consent of the hiring process

- FCRA & Background check

o We will NOT be running either of these background checks as part of the transfer exception, but you need to select ‘yes’.

o Select yes for both or your application will be disqualified.

- Driver license details

Onboarding Link: This link will be sent after UP positions are assigned. You will need to complete it promptly and HR can provide guidance at that time.

The Onboarding link will ask you for the following information:

- Agree to all company policies

- Complete your Federal and State taxes

To keep the transition timelines on track, HR needs to take these steps to make this process as smooth as possible. We understand you may have questions, and we are available to answer and assist. Please send your questions to: UPQuestions@metrarr.com. When sending questions to the UP Questions email, it is helpful to have your: Full Name, UP Employee ID#, and your current position at UP.
