Let me know if I've read the contract wrong, but as far as I know, if a vacancy exists on a pool turn, you are allowed to take it, 30 days or not. Let me know if this isn't the case because I was denied yesterday when I have made this move more than once previously.
They (Omaha, local mgmt, who knows) are starting to utilize the inward facing camera in the locomotives simply to “watch” and see what’s going on inside, and now are actually taking action against us more than I’ve ever seen.
Take a few minutes and re-examine what we are doing in the locomotive cabs that we would never want recorded or used against us. What we are allowed to do, what we shouldn’t be doing, and what we know FRA would have a cow about. Some recent charges and incidents in CFT AND on the road convinced me that there is no doubt that it’s really happening. Just think about that camera as a portal that someone at their desk in Omaha can open up at any time and view/record. They’ll know if you’re moving, your location, crew ID, etc.
