In an Executive Order dated December 18, 2025, President Donald Trump instructed the Department of Justice to complete the rulemaking process rescheduling marijuana from a Schedule I drug to a Schedule III drug of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) as quickly as possible. This change does NOT apply to transportation personnel.

What does this mean for our members? First and most importantly: federal testing requirements and regulations will NOT change!
Marijuana remains a banned substance and Schedule I drug for safety-sensitive transportation employees, including bus operators, train conductors and engineers, armed transit security personnel and others.
I use the Smart-TD 577 often and have noticed it needs updates. Pl/PS/Vaction link is now incorrect. It seems some agreements have not been put up yet either.

What is this new hire vacation stuff they posted about? Why do they get a special option?
They get a special option because this is a special circumstance. They now get a pro-rated amount of vac days as new employees as part of the agreement.. this is separate and apart from the normal vacation selection process for the rest of us, as ours are always done in December as a group. This is a way for new hires to access those vacation days.
PS Days you need to wait ,Possibly up to a month,They Don't automatically carry over,They take alot of time to get banked
