It is very important that you review the attached documents regarding the contract negotiations with METRA. We are giving you an example of what the Carrier has offered as an hourly pay. THIS IS NOT a "set in stone number. It shows you how it compares to the BLE&T pay.

There is also a document that explains what we would lose if we went with the hourly rate system.

Tomorrow, I will post a poll that the GCA will use for your direct input on how you want to proceed.

Stadler in October will debut its battery-electric (BE), single-level FLIRT trainset developed for Metra commuter rail in Chicago, as part of a 2024 contract, which includes a $154 million base order for eight two-car trainsets (with engineering, training, and spare parts) and options costing up to an additional $181.4 million for eight more trainsets and up to 32 trailer cars, which could be added to the two-car trainsets to create three- or four-car trainsets.

I am a member in good standing. I have paid dues for over 2 decades. I served tenure as a union representative. I have seen many Local Chairman come and go. I want no more than any union member wants. I want information. I want to know how to navigate this shit show of a transfer to being a Metra employee.

Can you please provide the requested information that you said you would provide. You ran your platform on the idea of sharing and disseminating information. We created this app and the current website to facilitate these very things. We pay you FULL TIME wages to perform these and many other functions you claimed you wanted to accomplish. Why now do you take a stand and refuse me policies that you claim to already have in your possession?
