PEB (Presidential Emergency Board)
Your National Legislative Office and State Legislative Directors are currently hard at work contacting every Congressional office to ascertain that elected officials and staff fully understand the Railway Labor Act. We are letting them know the process, why [we] are where we are, and just how much obstruction and pointless barriers the railroads have put us through to get us to this point in time.
In the very near future, we are going to need you (more than ever before) to reach out to your Members of Congress to let them know what's at stake; the realities of our work environment; the truth behind our real income (not the imagined $137,000) and just how many hours railroaders actually spend on call or at the away-from-home terminal.
Talk about it with everyone you know -- you just never know whom that person you're speaking to might "know."
