Reducing the spread of the coronavirus among transit employees and passengers.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) yesterday issued a safety advisory aimed at reducing the spread of the coronavirus among transit employees and passengers. The advisory recommends that transit agencies develop and implement procedures and practices consistent with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration during the public health crisis. The guidance calls for the use of face coverings, as well as social distancing, frequent hand-washing and facility and vehicle cleanings. https://www.transit.dot.gov/regulations-and-programs/safety/fta-safety-advisory-20-01-recommended-actions-reduce-risk
