The SMART-TD International is requesting any data we can provide on how many equipment inspections and air-tests our members are making daily because of a lack of QMIs on the property. If you can provide your job number, location you work and the number of tests you make daily that would be beneficial.
Also, the International is getting reports that RRs are cutting QMIs that perform periodic locomotive inspections and using laborers instead to do the work. Let us know if this happening in the Chicago Service Unit and where?
If you have any specific numbers of how many QMIs have been furloughed since PSR has taken place that would be helpful too.
