Resume pre-pandemic onboard fare collection.
Effective June 1, 2021
All Trainmen operating Commuter Operations revenue trains, on ALL lines, shall resume pre-pandemic onboard fare collection. (See Supt Bulletin #22, Section D, III, pages 10-15 for further clarification on pre-pandemic operations.) Trainmen are expected to continue wearing all PPE required by UP, State and Federal mandates. Employees are strongly encouraged to get fully vaccinated. June 1 resumption date allows sufficient time for employees to get vaccinated before resuming onboard fare collection activities. The management team has provided multiple notifications and announcements to all employees, related to “how and where” vaccinations are offered. We will continue to make those notifications and announcements going forward.
