I had a conference call with the Carrier today and was told that with the current and projected car loadings, there is going to be a real possibility of another workforce reduction. This reduction should only be for a short time as this COVID-19 has reduced the car loadings to numbers lower than the economic collapse of 2008. Thankfully, the CARES Act has increased the individual benefit through the Railroad Retirement Board. This will help keep your bills paid. I wish I had better news for everyone, but I wanted you to hear it from me. I have another call at 1300 on Monday, I will update here any new information. We will keep pressure on this Carrier to keep as many jobs as possible.
