There obviously should of been notification that a vote was going to take place.. "It was voted on by the members in attendance" is a tired excuse -not an answer. That location is to benefit the Metra Union officers that mostly stay out that way...

This is a prime example of why we need virtual meetings like the engineers have with full voting rights.... this location is 70 miles from my house. I understand that we all live in different areas, it's 30 miles from the previous location.

Good Afternoon CBTs have renewed for 2022 with about 13 or so of the basics, the problem is when you attempt to do them they won't launch so they can't be completed.

So he was on duty on his outbound train and UP said his train was not "in use"... So if we get hurt while on duty but not on a moving train we can expect UP to try and back out of liability...

All of my CBT's are done except the field demonstration for getting on/off equipment which is optional and I choose not to do this for my safety. Is there a away to get it removed from my screen as it's showing overdue?

Do whatever you feel safest doing, a manager can't tell you that you whether you feel safe or not.. They don't care about us and will lie on us and replace us to fit their needs... Back in the day utilitymen would watch the 25th shove. Due to train lengths and bad radio reception between the engineer and conductor it's not a safe or smart move. And once a manager starts micromanaging your move it throws your focus off and this of itself causes a safety issue.

Basically with the current attendance policy UP would have to properly staff the boards that way we could have a life and trains could run.. They're not going to add to the boards so they decided to revert back to the old attendance policy, not even a "meet in the middle". Everytime they do a policy change like this and the covid mandate they tell the union they are not going to negotiate. What does this say about the unions power? I'm tired of seeing Union officials enjoying themselves at conventions/meetings in the news letter if UP can do whatever it wants with no regard to the union & employee rights...

With tons of emails coming in and freight schedule I barely check for emails, if I'm not expecting it I won't check for it...
