ICC Title 19 Section 1545.230 states in part: j) Rail carriers and their employees share the obligation to keep the facilities clean and in good care. This shall be construed to mean that rail carriers are responsible for the regular and thorough cleaning of all employee facilities, while employees shall use good housekeeping practices. This is a portion of the Illinois Commerce Commission code. If we don't do our part, it makes it extremely hard to hold the carrier accountable for theirs. In other words, throw your trash away. Garbage cans are located everywhere.
