Compensated Day Denial

I was second out an needed to be off today. I called in around 23:50 (10/23/19) and they denied my a PL day claiming manpower. I asked her (can't remember her name) how many layoffs they were showing for today and she said 1. Prior to me having to layoff LS there were 3 people rested and more becoming available in the 5 am hour..., is there anything that can be done? HV000 XT80
