G3 employees called for Belvidere!!!
Last night at G3 we had a conductor called off the extra board(NZ077, XK81) to cover MBEBE out of Belvidere(NR050)
This employee called the manager and reported he was not qualified and needed a pilot. The manager(frustrated) told the employee that he could be reprimanded for not informing management that he is not qualified to cover all the jobs his extra board covers. The manager called CMS and had him removed from the Job and called a different employee off the NZ077 XK81 board.
First, I thought we had an agreement that says the carrier must call the next closest terminals extra board if the home terminal is unavailable. This would not be G3.
Do you know that agreement off hand so I can show it to local management?
Second, there is a rule that says we must inform management if we aren't qualified for jobs covered by the extra board immediately, does this apply if your extra board is called for a job that is being used in supplement to cover an understaffed or burned board at another terminal?
With managers now telling employees they could be reprimanded it would be great if we could get ahead of this so we don’t have tons of investigation for 1.13
