UPRR Family Emergency Number
UP's new TE&Y Emergency Notification number, 1-888-877-7015, should be used only when experiencing what has been deemed a 'family emergency.' Employees calling the line unnecessarily may impair others in crisis situations from getting through as quickly.
To minimize distractions and help bring TE&Y employees home safely each day, the following defines who is considered a "family member" and what constitutes a "family emergency:"
Family member: an employee's spouse, significant other, child, parent or family representative.
Family emergency:
Serious illness or injury for which hospital care is needed,
Incapacitation for which immediate supervisory care is needed, Childbirth, Death, or
Involvement in a natural disaster, critical safety risk or terrorist activity.
