Post Incident Actions
Please use this as a guide for your actions post incident. Ask to contact a Union Representative. You will be asked many questions regarding the incident, if you don't recall, don't try to give them what you think they want to hear. Just say I don't recall. You will be asked to give a written statement, this can be short and to the point. There is no requirement to provide a lengthy statement that goes into great detail that may call your actions into question at a hearing. Do not try to talk your way out of what happened by giving more information than you were required to give in the written statement. If asked follow up questions, just respond that you have given a written statement and you do not recall. Tell them that you are mentally exhausted post incident and want to go home.
