Borrow-Out Senority
There is a rumor going around with the Borrow-Out's that you relinquish your seniority on your home district if you are on the Borrow-Out for 6 months. This is not true, 1959 System and Schedule Rule 96 states:
Leave of Absense. A trainman having been absent of his own accord to exceed six consecutive months, thereby forfeits all rights with the Company.
You are not on a Leave of Absence, you are protecting your assignment. You will not forfeit you senority.
