1. Our current Local Chairperson is the last person we want worrying about protecting his family while protecting US during these very bad employment times.2. Our Local membership has decreased from 600 members to around 200 active members and thus reducing the Local's revenues by 2/3.3. Ashraf Bakr has seniority and the right to exercise his seniority. Every one of us has "one man" older in seniority and that person can displace each one of us.4. Our benefits per person costs the Carrier more than $10,000/ year, we ain't got that kind of money.These are horrible employment times that affect everyones' families and wallets; we must focus on holding the Carrier accountable by calling them out on Safety issues and putting in claims for work agreement violations. We need to help one another by mentoring those who are less experienced. Union means unity.
