Yard delays on mobile device
This has been implemented on the 21st of this month. The mobile device will want a reason for not moving after you have been stopped for about 10 minutes. Some of the reasons are understandable, yard congestion, air test, etc.
What I did not expect is when it asked me for an entry from the time I came on duty, to the time I initially started moving which was thirty minutes to job brief with management, travel to the yard, start my engines, and link up…
Also, are we now required to ask management anytime we want to stop to go to the bathroom, replenish fluids, or eat something? Can they deny it?
I’m only asking because there is an entry for crew approved eating.

I don’t remember this being our job. Seems like this should be a task for management and not the yard employees. I don’t believe this is covered under rule 1.47. And if more task are requested of our positions then we would need to negotiate it into a contract.
If I am missing something please point it out, I did not look to deeply into it.
