The Carrier has informed us that they will be issuing a priority broadcast message for TE&Y on Eastern 1, Northeastern 2 and CFT on Friday, October 18, 2024. The message will include the following:
With the ratification of the agreements for the transfer of commuter operations to Metra, the Carrier and Metra need additional information and signed consent to release personnel records. On Monday, October 21, 2024 course code METTRN or METENG will be placed in your learning plan. This is your written authorization to release your personnel and medical records to Metra. Completion of this form also indicates your intent to complete the hiring and application process with Metra as outlined in the course document and the implementation agreement. This will be available to you in your learning plan between October 21, 2024, and November 4, 2024. After the course code closes, if you have indicated your intent to transfer and given authorization for the release of your records, it will be considered as your final election. Please note, if you do not complete this course (and the requirements as outlined) within the dates specified, you will not be eligible to bid on available positions which will be posted at a future date.
