HI Status This is used by commuter operations when they believe that they will be short on manpower. CMS can and will call you and notify you that you are being held in to protect commuter trains. Each day they do this you have a right to a 100 mile claim. These claims couldn't benefit us more. They prove the the carrier isn't staffing there boards sufficiently. They also pay you not to work. So help us out and submit them each day or portion of a day that they do this to you. Follow up to ensure payment. If declined, process them. Rule 48 of the 1959 schedule of rules and agreements
