ATTENTION:
The carrier is currently going through the process of back-filling the AWRR boards. Calls will likely start today and continue until all of the open slots have been filled. Please be patient as this is taking place across the entire system where AWTS Agreements are currently in place, locations are being prioritized by demand.
Those of you receiving the call, please diligently assess your ability to return in this capacity and fulfill the requirements of the program and all applicable agreements. Do this, prior to your acceptance of filling these vacancies.
Below, I have attached a link to the EA1 AWTS Agreement (2012). Please read and carefully review the terms set forth in the agreement. If you have any questions in regards to situations that are unclear after review, please contact Courtney Smith or myself to discuss for further clarity.

Tom, Courtney and myself have been working very closely with the carrier to get our membership back to work. It’s baby steps at this time, as business is starting to make its way back on to the Service Unit as well as carloadings starting to see an uptick across the system. We’ve maintained an open line of communication with the carrier on a daily basis, to assist our membership and the UP Manpower Team to get jobs filled, AWRR turns back-filled and sufficiently staff the boards to protect the work and afford compensated days as well as hopefully bring back some assemblance of a work/life balance to our daily routine.
