Closing Angle Cocks at Proviso
Today I was working MPRAH and I had to set out 2 cars from 18 over to 22 on top of some cars that needed to be switched. So as normal, the headmaster tells us to cut away and close the angle cock on the east end. I do that as I’ve always done in the past. Luke and Serwin (however you spell his name), was trying to pull me out of service for “bottling the air”, but I didn’t because I let it dump before closing the cock. So Sean Stevens told me to let everyone know from now on, we CAN NOT close angle cocks even if the yard master tells you to do so. Sean ended up giving me a coaching for it. I just wanted to make you guys aware.

Make sure you challenge the coaching because that is not a rule that falls under a Good Faith Challenge. You were complying with instructions. Email the manager that gave you the coaching, cc me (localchairman577@yahoo.com), asking that it be removed from your record as you were instructed over the radio to do so. Also, put the same request in the comments of the coaching under the COMMIT tab in MyUp portal.
